'Castle' Season 7 Spoilers: Marlowe Steps Down as Showrunner, Bracken's Storyline is 'Over'
"Castle" season seven will not begin until the fall, but fans are already wondering how the shift in showrunners may affect the new season.
The ABC drama is being taken over by David Amann in season seven. However, the vision of "Castle" creator Andrew W. Marlowe will remain intact, according to TVLine. Moreover, Marlowe's wife and "Castle" writer Terri Edda Miller took to Twitter addressing rumors about her husband.
"For those expressing concern: @andrewmarlowe & I aren't leaving #Castle. Still here full time [for season seven]. Amann's just assuming more responsibility," Miller tweeted.

While the storyline will not be tampered with in season seven, fans are also wondering about Bracken, the odd senator that caused Castle's car accident in season six.
"The Bracken arc is pretty much over," Marlowe told TVLine following the season six finale. "We know who [killed Johanna], Beckett has gotten justice … If there is any future storytelling with Senator Bracken, it would be breaking new ground and not going back to revisit the old ghosts."
Notwithstanding, Marlowe noted that Bracken is not dead.
"He's a formidable person and he may someday entertain notions for revenge," the series creator added. "But it would be [in the context of] storytelling that moves us forward."
Meanwhile, the season six finale of "Castle" was centered on Castle's fiery car accident. As previously reported, Marlowe confirmed that fans will see the immediate fallout of the crash once season seven premieres this fall.
"We feel like, given the way we left off, we have an obligation to start exactly where we ended," the executive producer told TVLine. "So we'll be picking up in real time."
