Stephen Curry's Wife Ayesha Debuts 'International Smoke' Restaurant - The Menu; Celebs Flock to New Eatery
The barbecue pop-up of Warriors star Steph Curry's wife, Ayesha, has attracted celebrities who showed up at the International Smoke in San Franciso since it opened last Saturday.
Located at Michael Mina's Test Kitchen, the new restaurant gathered some big names during its debut last weekend. Among those who visited the restaurant was hip-hop star Drake, who had his photo taken with the adorable Curry couple at the opening night.
Curry's name, the barbecue and family meal offerings of the restaurant has made the public curious about this new food stop. The restaurant is pretty much booked for the entire month and is open from Wednesday to Saturday. It will be focused on serving hearty meals for the entire summer.
During the opening of the restaurant, Ayesha was also joined by Mina and Chef Adam Sobel, who had their photo taken with the Curry couple and Drake. Model Christy Teigen also congratulated her friend Ayesha for the restaurant but was unable to attend on Saturday's event.
The Menu
People who like nothing but good food will love this restaurant. Some of the menu items include pollo a la brasa, slow-cooked char-siu pork shoulder and Thai-style barbeque shrimp chili, among other great offerings.
A four-course meal will cost around $45 per person. On the other hand, a more sophisticated menu, which includes a lobster dish, is estimated to at around $76 per person.
Love with Cooking at Age of 12
Ayesha earlier told ESPN that she has been in love with cooking since the early age of 12. She recalled staring a blog and sharing recipes which caught the attention of her relatives.
The NBA MVP's wife did not recognize that she was getting more and more attention through her blog. She only realized it when her olive oil orders started coming left and right. Ayesha said she sold out all her stocks and had a hard time producing more for customers.
Chef Mina also mentioned in the ESPN report that he admired the skills of Ayesha when he offered her to function as a line chef for the Super Bowl tailgate serving around 900 people.
"She knew what she was doing and she was there the entire time," the chef told the outlet. "She's the real deal. I've learned that over and over again over the last six months."
Her huge following on social media is a testament that she is also an achiever in her own right and should not only be known as Steph Curry's wife.
