Big wins may be in the near future for actors Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Demian Bichir and Gary Oldman. The movie stars were named in the Best Actor category at this year's awards ceremony.

"I'm doubly excited," said Pitt of his Best Picture nods for both "Tree of Life" and "Moneyball." He added that he felt "Tree of Life" had been forgotten. "It was another one that was difficult to get made," Pitt said of the family drama film.

"Pancakes for everyone!" exclaimed Pitt of the early morning news, reported People magazine.

Star actress in "Bridesmaids," Melissa McCarthy has been nominated for Actress is a Supporting Role.

"When they said my name I was like, 'What show is this? This must be some other show,'" said the actress to E! News of the nomination. "I kept saying that, but when my picture came up I just kind of crumpled and my husband said, 'You just got nominated for an Academy Award.'"

"The Help" actress Viola Davis has received a nomination for Best Actress, and told The Hollywood Reporter that she loves the awards, but that she just wants to keep acting.

"I'm so proud and happy to have received them, but I don't take them to bed with me," said the actress.

Not every star was as happy with the Academy Awards nomination announcements Tuesday. Singer Mary J. Blige took to Twitter to address what she felt was a snub.

"I'm so thankful for true fans like you all," wrote the "Living Proof" singer, the song found in the film "The Help."

"It saddens me & I feel like the Academy is being mean. 2 only nominate 2 of the 5 slots is…," continued Blige, before she retweeted the reactions of her fans.

The Academy Awards will air live on ABC Sunday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. EST.
