'Chicago PD' Season 3 Episode 14 Spoilers: CPD Squad Hunts Down Two Escaped Convicts

Fans of NBC's hit police procedural drama TV series "Chicago PD" are in for a huge surprise as the show will return this week with a two-hour-long crossover episode with "Law and Order: SVU" Season 17. According to reports, the event would focus on an emergency concerning two convicts who are at large, deadly and more than ready to wreak havoc.

The synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode "The Song of Gregory Williams Yates," says that CPD will receive information that the infamous criminal Gregory Yates (guest star Dallas Roberts), whom they helped locked up in previous episodes, has broken out of a New York prison.

Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and the crew will learn that he intends to make his way out of New York and is now heading towards the Windy City, Chicago. Making the situation twice as dangerous is the fact that Yates is not alone in this trip. It was revealed that he will be joined by an equally notorious criminal, Carl Rudnick (Jefferson Mays).

The news coming from SVU's Lt. Olivia Benson (guest star Mariska Hargitay) indicates that Yates has been collecting information on Lindsay. It appears that the fugitive is hell-bent on exacting his revenge on the officer who was responsible for his imprisonment.

This episode will be the continuation of SVU's upcoming episode titled "Nationwide Manhunt." Viewers will get to see Benson and Fin (guest star Ice-T) working closely with Henry "Hank" Voight (Jason Beghe) and his crew to track down the fugitive and send him to where he belongs in the first place.

TFC went on to reveal that the two operatives will further warn the forces in Chicago about a potential triple homicide reportedly committed by Yates.

The investigation will lead them to discover another problem. Aside from the poor victims, one person is missing. This will prompt the police to look deeper into the connection between Yates and this missing woman.

Find out how these events unfold when "Chicago PD" Season 3 airs this Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 10 p.m. on NBC.
