Chris Brown and Rihanna Relationship Defended by Evelyn Lozada, Mary J. Blige
Rihanna and Chris Brown's relationship has been cause for speculation since the latter physically assaulted his girlfriend in 2009, but entertainers like Mary J. Blige and Evelyn Lozada are defending the pair amid a reported reconciliation.
Blige, the 42-year-old singer-songwriter, is covering the March issue of Vibe magazine where she spoke up about her feelings concerning 24-year-old Rihanna and 23-year-old Brown. The singer said she has an idea about why some are giving the singer a hard time.
"They give her a hard time because she's living her life. As long as she's having fun and isn't three minutes from shooting herself, good," Blige told Vibe. "I want her to be happy. That's impressive to me. And I love her songs."

Lozada, 37-year-old reality television star and entrepreneur, thought some people may be judging the Barbadian singer's relationship too quickly.
"We're all quick to judge and assume and you just never know," Lozada told HipHollywood.com recently. "She's a great person and I love her for just doing her and not caring what the world thinks and I wish her the best whether she's with Chris or not."
Brown, 23, was mandated to probation after physically assaulting on-and-off again girlfriend 24-year-old Rihanna in 2009. While both have made several public appearances with one another as of late and spoken up about working on their relationship, Rihanna made it clear that she was supporting Brown by showing up at his recent court appearance.
Rihanna covers the February issue of Rolling Stone magazine and opened up about why she decided to give things another try with Brown.
"I wanted him to know what it felt like to lose me. To feel the consequences of that. But I got real with myself, and I just couldn't bury the way I felt," Rihanna told the publication. "I decided it was more important for me to be happy, and I wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that."
