Chris Brown Not Focusing on Rihanna Gossip

Chris Brown is making it clear that he is not paying attention to the negative media headlines about him or romance rumors.

"Focused on my Recovery and Music... Nothing more, nothing less," the 24-year-old tweeted recently.

The tweet comes after Page Sixx reports that he started texting his ex-girlfriend and fellow singer Rihanna,26, recently.

"Chris started texting Rihanna on her birthday [Feb. 20], and the two have been sending each other a flurry of texts ever since," a source close to the singers allegedly told the publication. "Rihanna didn't write back right away ... but later that night she started getting sentimental and texted back, 'thank you,' and asked how he was. Since then, the two haven't stopped texting each other and friends are freaked out that she's going to start dating him again."

After being linked to a number of physical altercations, Brown was mandated to spend 90 days in a rehabilitation center where he first sought treatment for his issues last year. Although he has completed his 90 day sentence, E! News is reporting that a judge may be requesting that he receive additional treatment.

While Brown's representatives have yet to confirm or deny the reports, he has been expressing himself on Twitter lately.

"Thinking negatively only ensures more negativity in your life," he tweeted earlier this week. "It's ok to be upset and get angry. It's what u do with that energy that helps."

The singer's angry behavior made national headlines after he physically assaulted ex-girlfriend and singer Rihanna in 2009. Since that assault, Brown has made headlines for allegedly engaging in other physical altercations, including those with fellow entertainers Frank Ocean and Drake.

Despite his legal issues, Brown seems to be remaining positive on Twitter lately. Since 2014, it seems Brown has been focused on tweeting a more positive message following a year when he seemed to lash out on the social networking website on countless occasions.

"We can't control other people," he tweeted recently. "We only can control ourselves."
