Chris Brown Quits Music Following Jail Release? 'I'm Tired of Being Famous for a Mistake'
Chris Brown is considering ending his music career following his recent stint in jail, according to posts on the singer's Twitter page.
On Tuesday the Grammy award-winning artist took to the social networking site to vent his outrage over the intense media scrutiny that he is constantly subject to. Brown's sixth studio album "X" is scheduled for release on August 20 and the singer revealed that it may in fact be his last ever.
"Don't worry mainstream America.After this X album, it'll probably be my last album," Brown tweeted August 6.

"Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I'm cool & over it!" another candid tweet read.
Brown, who split from pop star Rihanna in May, was referencing a 2009 domestic assault incident during which he admittedly left the Bajan singer battered after a domestic dispute. Brown was convicted and sentenced to five-years probation however it was revoked in recent weeks after he was hit with criminal hit-and-run charges. He was ordered to turn himself in to police by August 6.
Brown reportedly went to Van Nuys jail at 2pm where he spent approximately 45 minutes before being released on his own recognizance, according to TMZ.com.
The L.A. District Attorney claimed the "Fine China" singer violated his probation after a car accident involving a model named Olga Gure-Kovalenko. She accused Brown of hitting her car in Los Angeles on May 21 and contrary to the singer's claims she maintains that he did not follow proper procedure after the minor collision occurred.
Investigators reportedly support Gure-Kovalenko's claims about Brown handing over invalid license and insurance information.
If a court finds that there was in fact a probation violation due to Brown's criminal hit-and-run charges, the singer could ultimately be sentenced to a maximum of four years in prison, according to the New York Daily News.
"It's not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous," Brown previously tweeted in response to the hit-and-run charges.
"I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene," he continued adding "She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures."
