So why is the TV show giving away money? Because it is a way to bless others, entrepreneur and founder of Prayer Stop, an organization providing effective and powerful outreach solutions for Christian groups, Darrel Rundus recently shared in an interview.

“God loves a cheerful giver and it’s better to give than to receive. So we thought instead of asking others for money we should use this show as a way to be a blessing to others both financially and spiritually.”

Rundus, known for giving his money away, previously gave $20,000 to the first person he called who could list all Ten Commandments in order within 20 seconds or less.

A successful entrepreneur, he began Prayer Stop after he sold his circulation sales and marketing firm. His decision to start the organization came as a product of his salvation, hoping to empower Christians to share the Good News all around the world.

Previously, he founded The Great News Network in 2002, working closely with Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron to develop Evangelism Boot Camp. Within a few short years, the boot camp helped thousands of Christians learn how to effectively share their faith.

Feeling compelled to go into ministry full time, Rundus began Prayer Stop in 2009 in order to develop a powerful and effective outreach solution for Christian churches and ministries all over the world, according to the website, doing for Christ’s Kingdom what he had done so successfully for newspapers around the world.

With the new addition of a television series, which started Oct. 6, the organization’s aim has been to give “hope to the hopeless” and provide “more than just mindless entertainment.”

“When Jesus started his ministry, he read a prophecy from the Old Testament about the coming of the messiah as foretold by the prophet Isaiah,” the site states. “Jesus said, ‘The Spirit of the LORD is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.’ Luke 4:18-19.”

“If Jesus’ objectives for ministry were to preach the ‘Good News,’ to heal the broken hearted, to give sight to the blind, and to set a liberty those held captive, we thought it would be good for us to follow in his footsteps and make those our primary objectives for this new TV show.”

The first season will take audiences on “The Journey of Joe,” about a man and his everyday struggles and triumphs. Every week, viewers will see how Joe learns to work through his fears and effectively and biblically share the Gospel with others.

“While we believe God will use this show to win souls, when the season’s over, God willing it won’t just entertain people, but rather it will equip, encourage and empower Christians all around the world to suit up and show up for Jesus by implementing a Prayer Stop Evangelism Outreach in their areas.”

Honoring and glorifying God remains the primary objective of Season One as they trained men and women for what they called the battle against the enemy.

“We hope and pray this show will be a blessing to all who watch it. We pray those who put the biblical principles and training into practice we share on this show will ultimately with time and practice grow to be a bigger, better, stronger and more Christ-centered, courageous Christian.”

The show airs every Thursday at 6:30 CT on Direct TV 378 or NRB. In order to answer all five questions on Friday and qualify to win $100, viewers must watch the show live.
