Cissy Houston Leaving Bobbi Kristina's Life in God's Hands; Says There Is No Progress in Her Health
Cissy Houston, the mother of the late singer Whitney Houston and grandmother to Bobbi Kristina Brown, is revealing that her granddaughter's dire medical situation has not improved and that she is ready for whatever fate God decides for the 22-year-old who reportedly suffers from irreversible brain damage.
Bobbi Kristina, whose father is former R&B star Bobby Brown, has been hospitalized since Jan. 31. The 22-year-old was found unconscious in a bathtub in the Georgia home she shared with boyfriend Nick Gordon.
Cissy Houston, 81, recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight, revealing that she was letting God handle her granddaughter's health at this point.

"She's the same, she's not progressing at all. She's not gone yet, but you know, whatever the Lord decides, I'm ready for her... I have nothing to do with that," Houston told Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier Saturday. "That's His job. It's His territory, you know? And I understand it."
Houston, a devout Christian whose latest gospel performance include "The Blood That Jesus Shed For Me" at McDonald's Gospelfest in New Jersey Saturday, insists she is grateful for prayers that people have been lifting up on behalf of her granddaughter.
"Who really knows the worth of prayer and I'm sure it'll get through. We go to the hospital every day and pray and, you know, I talk to [Krissi] because she can still hear, and I rub her hand and what not," she told ET. "My daughter-in-law and my son, we do what we can do. The rest is, we can't do anything about because that's all up to Him. We know nothing about his plan."
Bobbi Kristina's father, Bobby Brown, and Whitney Houston's sister-in-law, Pat Houston, were legally appointed as Krissi's co-guardians, according to a statement made last Friday.
"Mr. Brown and Ms. Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi's care and medical needs," read a joint statement from their lawyers.
A source reportedly told ET that Bobbi Kristina has irreversible brain damage, and there is no way to improve her condition. Last February, Bobbi Kristina's family held a prayer vigil for her. A reported source close to the family spoke about keeping their conversations positive in front of the ailing Bobbi Kristina.
"If she's in there somewhere, we want her to hear us," a family member told People magazine. "We keep it positive. We tell her that God loves her, that we love her … that America is praying for her and that everyone loves her."
