CM Punk Offered Large Sum of Money by TNA to Return to Wrestling, Declines Offer?

CM Punk, one of the most popular WWE Superstar, has been rumored to have been approached by TNA offering a huge sum of money for him to return to the ring. Apparently, he was approached through a mutual friend of his and TNA.

The offer, apart from the huge sum of money, included the prospect of Punk being the face of the franchise. Just how much money? It's believed that the amount was summed to how much Hulk Hogan had earned during his stay with the TNA.

While Punk is essentially a free agent in wrestling, him joining TNA would essentially make the franchise better, which explains the offer. It doesn't matter for Punk though since he has shown no interest in returning to wrestling ever, which he said during a short interview during July's Alternative Press Music Awards – which he played as a host.

Fans are still hopeful of Punk's return to the ring and considering that other wrestling superstars like Hulk Hogan, Sting, and Batista have made their returns after leaving, Punk might follow suite as well. However, don't expect him to return anytime soon or with the TNA in that matter.

Even though he has been shunned from wrestling, his name is still reverberating throughout the WWE. Only recently, he was reported to have visited his friend Cliff Compton backstage during an OVW Championship event. Reports say that no one was to approach him and his sole purpose in his visiting was to greet his friend before his match.

It's also Punk's name which is currently threatening AJ Lee's career with the WWE Divas. His name being chanted during Lee's matches somewhat proves that he is one of the most popular and influential figures in WWE.
