Cookie Monster 'I Love It' Parody Teaches Kids Self Control
He loves it. An apparent fan of Icona Pop, the Seasame Street star has released a parody video of "I Love It" and yes, there are cookies involved.
This is not the first time that Sesame Street has covered a modern pop song. Its most recent cover include a Cookie Monster parody titled "Me Want It"- starring the furry blue character and his favorite snack. But despite the fun feel, the video is actually a positive instructional about teaching children to be patient and practice self control.
The video begins with a delectable bowl of chocolate chip cookies. Cookie Monster enters the screen, eyeballing the cookies and starts singing about how delicious they appear to look.

"Me get this feeling when me see the chocolate chippy on the dish. Me want to grab it, want to eat it, that me only wish."
Despite his fantasies however, the character goes on to say that he can wait because he has been taught self control and now has to try it.
"Now me know that self control is something me must try. Me want to grab it, me want to eat it, but me wait."
The music video parody was released on Tuesday.
"When me loose control, when me on the brink. Need to just calm down, need to stop and think," the fluffy blue monster sings. "Me need control, me need self. Yeah that's the way to live. And then me functioning like an executive.
The video appeared to be a moderate success on the Internet, receiving more than half a million views on YouTube. It even received a hashtag: #controlmeself. More than 2,000 Internet users gave the video thumbs up although at least a couple hundred decided that they did not like to wait. Others also complained the Cookie Monster promotes bad grammar.
