Cory Monteith Dead: Girlfriend Lea Michele 'Hysterical, Inconsolable'
Lea Michele is devastated following the untimely death of her boyfriend, Corey Monteith, and a rep for the "Glee" actress requested privacy in a statement issued Sunday.
Monteith, who played Finn Hudson alongside Michele on the popular TV series, was reportedly found dead in his hotel room Saturday by staff at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia. While Canadian authorities are awaiting an autopsy report to determine the exact cause of death, Michele, 26, is said to be struggling to come to grips with news of the late actor's death.
"We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time," the actress' rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

Michele, who allegedly began dating her co-star in early 2012, was a strong source of support for Monteith, who was just 31 when he died, when he voluntarily entered a rehab program for substance abuse in March 2013.
"I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this," Michele said at the time. "I am grateful and proud he made this decision."
In April, approximately four weeks after entering rehab, Monteith was photographed alongside Michele at LAX airport and the pair appeared to be in good spirits while jetting off for a couple's vacation.
"Today is a great day:)" she Tweeted upon his exit from the treatment facility "Love you all! Xo."
On Sunday it was revealed that the award-winning actress was "hysterical" after learning that her boyfriend had passed.
"She [Lea Michele] is absolutely hysterical and completely inconsolable," a source close to the actor told HollywoodLife.com. "She is devastated beyond belief."
Monteith, who first entered rehab at age 19, was always vocal about his past. During a 2011 interview with Parade magazine the actor opened up about just how out-of-control his battle with addiction once was.
"I was out of control...[I used] anything and everything, as much as possible. I had a serious problem," he told the magazine.
When Monteith finally decided to get help, his life changed for the better.
"I'm lucky to be alive," he confessed.
Reports confirmed that an autopsy report is scheduled for Monday.
