Courteney Cox Vacations With Boyfriend, Daughter in Venice
Courteney Cox is moving forward after the finalization of her divorce from David Arquette and is in a new relationship with rocker Johnny McDaid.
The former "Friends" actress appears to be in a serious relationship with McDaid as photos of the pair on vacation in Venice, Italy surfaced this week. Moreover, Cox's daughter Coco, whom she shares with ex-husband Arquette, was also present on the Italian getaway, according to Us Weekly. Photos of the couple reveal laughter and hand-holding while Coco enjoyed a gelato cone while roaming the streets of Venice.
Cox, 49, was first linked to the Snow Patrol band member back in December. Shortly thereafter, the couple's mutual friend, singer Ed Sheeran, confirmed their romance.
"I wasn't allowed to talk about this, actually, but it's just gone public so… My housemate [Johnny], who I have lived with for a year, I introduced him to Courteney and they started dating," he explained to omg! UK in late December. "Now they're crazy about each other."
News of the relationship comes as no surprise since Cox admitted that she is "happy" for her ex-husband. The "Cougar Town" star married Arquette back in 1999 and the couple shares their 9-year-old daughter Coco, but their marriage came to an end in May 2013 after a long separation.
"In divorce you always have regrets," Cox explained to More magazine recently. "We were married for a long time, so it's not like we didn't try."
Despite their divorce, Cox and Arquette remain committed to raising Coco together. The "Scream" co-stars are often spotted out with their daughter, and Cox has addressed their "great" relationship. Nevertheless, the actress acknowledged that the split was not easy for Coco.
"Obviously, kids always want their parents to be together," said Cox. "But as divorces go, this is the best one we would provide."
