CP World Report: Mitt Romney, Muhammad YouTube Video, UK Full-Term Abortion, Kirk Cameron

Mitt Romney is defending controversial comments he made that was captured by a hidden camera at a private fundraiser back in May. The clips were posted on some websites and The Huffington Post. Romney says the remarks were "off the cuff" and "not elegantly stated," but he sticks by the main message. Andrew Spencer has the story.

Muslim and Coptic Christian leaders in L.A. stood side by side condemning…both the anti-American violence abroad, and the anti-Muslim film, said to have sparked it.

The 14-minute movie trailer produced in the U- S and posted on YouTube referred to Mohammed as a womanizer, child molester and killer. The man behind the private film is Nakoula Basseley Nakoula –a Coptic Christian-- but church leaders aren't backing this project.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has called upon Muslims to continue protesting against the video-- which he is pushing as a quote "dangerous turn in the war against Islam."

A woman in England has been thrown in jail for conducting a self-administered full-term abortion. She used a drug that she ordered over the internet. Investigators have called the case…disturbing. The 35 year old woman –who is married with two children--was described as cold, calculating with no remorse and now faces an 8 year sentence for her crime. The Leeds judge--Justice Cooke-- had apparently been told that the aborted infant was not conceived with her husband, but with a work colleague she had been having an affair with for seven years.

As the debate over same-sex marriage continues in the U.K., the Church of England, the Roman Catholic Church and leading conservative policy makers are highlighting the need for protection for the Churches. Churches fear being punished for not consenting to gay marriage ceremonies should a law be passed to redefine marriage. These fears and warnings follow highly publicized court proceedings by the European Court of Human Rights over the termination of four separate Christian people for wearing religious items and objections due to conflicts with religious beliefs.

Actor and producer Kirk Cameron says America needs to get out of the mess by returning to the quote…."original factory settings". That means listening to the Founding Fathers who relied on wisdom that comes from faith in God and His Word. Cameron was addressing the 2012 Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C. . The 42 year old evangelical Christian entertainer said he was concerned about the future of the nation as he is father of six children. He talked about national debt, crumbling values, teen suicides, family breakdown and addictions. Cameron is best known for his role in the TV Series: Growing Pains. He said his new film, "Monumental: In Search of America's National Treasure," seeks to remind the nation of the nation's founding principles.
