10. Ted Cruz Praises CNN

It's not often the left-leaning news outlet CNN receives praise from a leading conservative.

However, Cruz, the staunch conservative senator from Texas and Trump's biggest rival during the 2016 Republican primaries, did just that on Thursday afternoon when speaking with Fox News and other reporters in front of radio row.

Cruz commented on a one-on-one CNN-hosted debate on health care reform against Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vt., that was held earlier this month.

"The nice thing about that debate was that it was two hours of substance and the Left and the Democrats can't defend their policies because they don't [work]," Cruz asserted. "We need to do a lot more of that and talk about what works."

"CNN is clearly not with us. But actually, I'll commend CNN for how they did it because, you know what, the moderators largely stayed out of the way and let Bernie and me mix it up and engage with the audience," he continued. "That is how you have a good debate. You don't have a moderator trying to just dominate it all and make it about the moderator. CNN did a good job."

Cruz then quipped: "I might get in trouble for praising CNN."
