'Dancing With the Stars' Season 20: Week 8 'America's Choice and Trio Dance' Performances and Scores Recap
It's down to the final six on "Dancing With the Stars" and the stakes are higher than ever as the pairs face a double elimination. Things got into high gear this Monday as the couples danced two routines -- America's Choice dances, wherein fans were able to choose the songs and outfits, and the Trio numbers, which required the couples to add an eliminated pro-dancer or member of the DWTS troop to their routine.
Here's how the pairs fared on week 8 of "Dancing With the Stars":
Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess
America's Choice: Tango
Trio: Salsa with Emma Slater
Scores: America's Choice, 31 (out of 40); Trio, 32

Noah and Sharna went for pure class in their Tango, and Julianne Hough said that "America's choice was right on." For their Trio dance, the pair's upbeat number with Emma prompted all the judges to say how fun it was. "Two girls, one arm, probably impossible for most people but not for you Mr. Noah," said Carrie Ann Inaba. "You make everything possible."
Chris Soules and Witney Carson
America's Choice: Contemporary
Trio: Paso Doble with Lindsay Arnold
Scores: America's Choice, 34; Trio, 30
During their contemporary routine, Chris dug deep to show his sensitive side and did some amazing lifts. "To me, you win the award for most improved this season," said Julianne. Things didn't go so well for the Trio dance as Carrie Ann says that Chris appeared to be overwhelmed by the two dancers, but Bruno Tonioli praised his commitment to the dance.
Riker Lynch and Allison Holker
America's Choice: Viennese Waltz
Trio: Jazz with Brittany Cherry
Scores: America's Choice, 39; Trio, 39
Riker had reservations about looking "vulnerable on purpose" for their Viennese Waltz, but it paid off as Julianne said, "For me, that was your best dance." Their high-energy trio cheered the judges up as Len Goodman said, "You're happy, we're happy, we're all happy." Carrie Ann and Julianne praised him for leading the routine.
Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson
America's Choice: Contemporary
Trio: Samba with Jenna Johnson
Scores: America's Choice, 33; Trio, 29
Robert and Kym finally kissed in their contemporary routine, to the delight of their fans. "I think that you upped your game tonight," said Julianne. For their Trio, the "Shark Tank" boss appeared to get flustered at times as Len said, "This was a little bit on the messy side," but Bruno said although "the samba was a bit of a shamble, the style was there."
Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough
America's Choice: Paso Doble
Trio: Jive with Sasha Farber
Scores: America's Choice, 36; Trio, 40
With Derek still nursing his injury, Sasha stepped in for their America's choice dance which had a gladiator theme. "I like the passion of it and the drama and the full-on intensity," said Len. Derek was able to dance with them during the trio, and their love triangle routine was praised by the judges as Bruno said, "That was total genius from the first to the last frame."
Rumer Willis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy
America's Choice: Rumba
Trio: Paso Doble with Artem Chigvintsev
Scores: America's Choice, 40; Trio, 40
Val felt guilty about taking the fun out of the "DWTS" experience for Rumer, and he vowed to make it up to her this week. His resolve to do so paid off as Carrie Ann said of their rumba, "You lead with love, that was incredible." Len said that the dance was fantastic. For their trio with Artem, the judges were astounded as Carrie Ann told Rumer, "You've been great from day one but tonight, you were superior."
