'Dangerous Golf' Video Game Announced, Release Date Expected In Spring
Sports enthusiasts who play golf will have a chance to play the sport differently, at least virtually, as Techno Buffalo reported that developer Three Fields Entertainment is bringing to video gamers a golf game that is far from the usual. The game, which is titled "Dangerous Golf," will offer a unique twist to the sport and it's going to live up to its name as there will be smashing, crashing and even exploding in the game.
According to Polygon, "Dangerous Golf" is the first game from Three Fields Entertainment, which was founded by Fiona Sperry and Alex Ward. The two are actually the original founders of Criterion Games who popularized the "Burnout" series. After leaving their old company to venture into new pastures, they formed the atypical game which they pitched as "an irreverent, silly, fun approach to golf games."
Digital Trends also detailed that the game was inspired by over-the-top sports games such as "NBA Jam" and it's guaranteed to give gamers the chance to "smash a priceless chandelier, set fire to a gas station and destroy a kitchen full of china" during the whole duration of a normal gameplay. With that being said, the game will offer more than 100 holes that are set in locations such as a gas station, ballroom, medieval castle and kitchen.

The goal of the game is to make the most damage possible. There will be specific points given to gamers who can perform some trick shots, a ricochet technique and breaking of stuff by changing their ball into a bomb and setting off a mechanic called "SmashBreaker." It was pointed out to be a similar mechanic found in the "Burnout" series. Several gameplay screenshots are available on the game's official website showing the action that can be found in the game and it is expected to be destructively fun.
"Dangerous Golf" is scheduled to be released sometime in May and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam or PC.
