Danica Patrick: Jay Mohr's Jab Draws Icy Stare from NASCAR Driver (VIDEO)

Danica Patrick was the brunt of host Jay Mohr's jokes during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards on Sunday night, and she was not very happy about it.

The night marked Mohr's second run as a host of the event, and the comedian/actor opened the night with a jab directed at Patrick.

"Danica Patrick, give a round of applause for a history maker, Danica Patrick is here," Mohr began in his opening monologue. "Welcome my love. Danica, I hope you're not too uncomfortable tonight, I know you're not used to be this close to the front."

Instantaneously, the crowd gasped at Mohr's joke while the camera panned to Patrick's smirk, which clearly displayed her annoyance. Beside her was the race car driver's boyfriend, fellow NASCAR competitor Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who was also displeased with Mohr's humor, it seemed.

Mohr's joke touched on Patrick's past few races in which she has placed among the last finishers. While Patrick became the first female driver in history to lead the green flag lap at the Daytona 500 in February, she has finished in 38th place, 33rd place, 28th and 20th places this year.

Shortly after Mohr's joke, Twitter was flooded with viewers' reactions.

Darrell wrote, "I tried to warn the boy, @jaymohr37, don't mess with the #NASCAR family!"

"It's quite clear Danica cannot take a joke," Lisa added. "If you can't sit there & laugh at yourself, then you don't have a fun personality. #NASCAR"

"Thank you, Jay Mohr, for proving that twit Danica Patrick has no sense of humor," wrote Scott.

As for Patrick's own reaction, the racer posted a positive tweet after the show.

"I have the most handsome man, the banquet was funny, my fans rock, and we both won money tonight," she wrote, along with a photo taken from the red carpet. Life is good!"

Despite his jab, Mohr clarified that he was actually a huge fan of Patrick via Twitter after the show.

"@DanicaPatrick much love to you," he wrote. "See you soon."

Meanwhile, Patrick is preparing to fulfill awards ceremony hosting duties of her own at the American Country Awards this week, and Mohr offered the driver some advice.

"My dearest @DanicaPatrick. When you host the A[C]A's Tuesday night, be classy," the actor posted to Twitter. "Don't make jokes about the artists. Xoxo."

The ACA's air on FOX on Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. EST.
