Aside from The Punisher, another Marvel character is expected to make an appearance in the episodes to come. The trailer reveals Elektra, who will be played by Elodie Yung, who seemingly breaks into the home of Matt Murdock also known as Daredevil. Avid fans of the comic book are aware that the two have a romantic history, which is expected to be explored in the upcoming season.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the executive producer of the series, Doug Petrie, recently shared some details about their relationship. He stated, "Matt's a deeply moral complicated guy and she's just the best bad girlfriend you can possibly have. She does everything wrong and attractive, she's his id, the wild side. Matt is always taming his wild side. Elektra just lets it out. He's both repulsed and deeply drawn to that."

However, she will not be Daredevil's only love interest in the episodes to come. The trailer hints at the possibility of Murdock and Karen Page, played by Deborah Ann Woll, becoming more than colleagues. A scene shows Matt touching Karen's face in an intimate way.

"Daredevil" season 2 is expected to premiere on Netflix this Mar. 18.
