'Daredevil' Season 3 Release Date, Spoilers and Updates: Bullseye to Join Show's Villains; Cast and Plot Details

Patrolling Hell's Kitchen is not an easy thing to do, as the Daredevil (Charlie Cox) would have you know. For the past seasons, we'd seen him battling The Hand across New York and dealing with his conflict with The Punisher, who he thinks deals way too severely with criminal scums.

But worse things have yet to come, as the Bullseye, notoriously known as the biggest, baddest villain in Daredevil's rogues gallery, may just arrive in Season 3.

To fans, however, this comes as great news, as so far no villain has presented any real challenge to the Daredevil. Bullseye's arrival may very well shake things up in the series. After all, he has already been hinted at in Season 2.

New villain: Who is Bullseye?

What makes Bullseye a tough opponent? Well, he may not have superpowers, but make no mistake, that name is no misnomer. He is gifted with the extraordinary ability to strike anything with absolutely any weapon and never miss, be it a toothpick, or a paperclip. He's well known for his playing cards, which he can easily throw to slice a watermelon or a throat.

While his inclusion in the next season has yet to be confirmed by the showrunners themselves, Charlie Cox has already expressed that he cannot foresee doing future installments of Daredevil without having him run into his greatest archrival yet.

How the show left off, and when is it returning to air

If the rumors were true, then Bullseye's introduction into the series cannot be more well-timed. Season 2 saw Matt Murdoch struggling to balance his life as a lawyer-cum-secret vigilante. At the finale, we saw him come clean to Karen about his secret persona, which means he's ready to stabilize and straighten up his life. Bullseye's arrival would definitely thwart his attempts at normalcy.

Until we see the two head in a crimson-clad battle in Hell's Kitchen, however, a rumor's just as good as any guess. The series was refreshed for a third season at the San Diego Comic Con in July, and while fans hoped that the new season will air as early as 2017, Netflix has announced that the show will most likely air in 2018.

The streaming service is also contemplating a back-to-back release with The Punisher, a spin-off series based on Jon Bernthal's character.
