Demi Moore Shocked Ashon Kucther Filed For Divorce, Wanted Settlement First
Demi Moore is reportedly shocked that her estranged husband Ashton Kutcher recently filed for divorce as a new report claims that the pair had been attempting to settle financial matters first, for privacy reasons.
The 50-year-old actress, who has been married twice before, was hoping that she and Kutcher, 33, could settle their financial matters to avoid having settlement details leaked to the press. She is said to be baffled as to why he abruptly filed just before Christmas, which is just over one year after they separated, according to the New York Post.
"Demi had hoped to negotiate a financial settlement quietly and then file paperwork afterwards to show the matter had been settled," a source told The Post's PageSix. "Demi was asking for so much money, and [the negotiation] was dragging on so long, that Kutcher got fed up and filed papers, which means their divorce negotiations will become more public."

Kutcher filed to end their seven year marriage on Friday and one report claims that his new girlfriend Mila Kunis may have also influenced his decision to do so. The former "That 70s Show" co-stars began dating shortly after Kutcher and Moore's separation and they are said to be getting serious.
"Mila was getting upset that Ashton was still stuck in this situation," a source told the New York Daily News.
Moore, who is said to be seeking a substantial payout from Kutcher, was photographed shopping with a male companion in Los Angeles on Sunday. The actress appeared to be in good spirits despite being served with papers just two days prior, and she is said to be determined to find love again.
"She's determined to find young love again and is at a loss as to why she is still single," a source told RadarOnline.com. "On top of having no love life, her daughters have once again turned their backs on her - she just feels so alone, and that feeling is made all the worse as Christmas approaches."
