Denver Broncos Roster News and Rumors: Ryan Murphy Detained, Questioned in Police Prostitution Sting

Last Tuesday, the police questioned Denver Broncos practice squad safety Ryan Murphy in a prostitution sting, although he was subsequently released without being charged. Reports are saying that his brother and an alleged prostitute were given citations after a police operation that took place in a motel parking lot.

As a response, the team sent Murphy to Denver, with head coach Gary Kubiak saying in a statement that the decision to send him home was the best thing for a team that's quite preoccupied in preparation for Super Bowl 50. However, Kubiak clarified that Murphy remains to be a practice squad player and that the only thing that changed after Tuesday's questioning is the fact that he no longer will be participating in the Super Bowl.
His teammates were already busy prepping for the Super Bowl 50 on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers and the practice squad was on board the trip because they are to be used as a scout team for three practices, scheduled to begin on today.
It was later reported by several online news sources that the prostitution sting was made by the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Police and that Murphy's brother and the alleged prostitute he was with were questioned by deputies on Tuesday night. According to the sheriff's office, the county is currently in a campaign to curb prostitution in the area, where 10 individuals have already been cited for solicitation.
