According to Screen Rant, Bratt is described as someone who hates being the center of mockery. Hatred will drive him to plot "global domination" that will supposedly catch the attention of villain-turned-hero Gru.

Vulture further reports that Bratt will be dressed in purple 80's clothing so fans can expect a lot of spunk in the new villain's personality and get-up.

Aside from the big announcement, Meledandri also shared that Carrell will be doing double the work as he will also voice a new character named Drew. In the third installment in the franchise, Drew will be portrayed as Gru's long-lost identical twin.

Fans are already expressing interest on the back story that will explain how Drew and Gru were separated and what happened to Drew all these years. What's interesting about his character is, fans will see in Drew a second Gru in all angles, except for his full haired-head.

Cinema Blend adds that Meledandri provided some major hints about the plot of the upcoming installment. He said sibling rivalry will be depicted as Drew's sudden return will obviously not be something Gru will take in easily. Gru always had struggles when it comes to family matters and it is expected that his twin's comeback won't be easy on him.

"Despicable Me 3" is slated for release on June 30, 2017.
