'Destiny 2' News: Bungie Confirms Curse Of Osiris Is The Real Name Of Its Upcoming DLC
"Destiny 2" developer Bungie has confirmed that Curse of Osiris is the real name of its upcoming downloadable content (DLC). The announcement was made via Twitter marketing director Eric Osborne saying that the rumored DLC pack is not a leak, but definitely real.
Rumors of the upcoming DLC began circulating last month with players claiming that the DLC pack will center around Osiris and feature a new patrol zone. Bungie has not yet revealed a release date but it is expected to arrive by the end of the year.
A new Xbox Store listing leak supported the rumored release date. According to the store description, Curse of Osiris will continue the Guardian's journey with all-new story missions and adventures set in a new destination: Mercury. While there is little reason to doubt the Xbox Store listing, it would still be nice to hear the official announcement from Bungie themselves.
Aside from new missions, the DLC is also expected to feature new themed weapons and armor, along with new co-op activities as well as new multiplayer arenas for competitive play. It will also reportedly feature a new social space based on the Lighthouse from the first game.
"Destiny 2" was released last week and was an instant hit with gamers. Despite a few hiccups such as the constant crashing on the PlayStation 4 Pro, the game's popularity was never in danger of being dampened.
The game released its first raid, Leviathan, exactly a week after release. The raid was among most anticipated activities of the game which is why it comes as no surprise that the first Fireteam to complete it managed to do so on the very first day. With a recommended Power level range of 260-280, it was certainly no simple task.
