Destiny 2 PS4 Crash Issue Update: Bungie And Sony Continue To Fix PS4 Crash Issue

Bungie and Sony are still trying to find a fix to the crashing issue experienced by Destiny 2 players on the PlayStation 4. With a new patch coming next week, many fans are hoping that a solution has finally been found.

The dreaded Error CE-34878-0 has been the bane of PS4 owners trying to enjoy the sequel to Bungie's hit alien shooter game for a few weeks. Players who encountered the error experience a total system crash, an issue that the developer has acknowledged on its official forums.

Bungie has already advised PS4 players to turn off the HDCP settings on their PS4 consoles to reduce the frequency of the crashes. They also assured fans that they will team up with Sony to address the issue.

Weeks later, it seems that a fix has yet to be found. With Update 1.0.3.1 set to be released next week, Bungie has not yet issued a statement on whether the update will bring a fix to Error CE-34878-0.

The update's patch notes reveal that this update is focused mainly on bug fixes for "Destiny 2." Among the issues it will be addressing are players missing the Raid Milestone which worried many especially those who were putting so many efforts into completing the Raid.

The update will also fix the High Highness's Seal quest step, the part of the Raid quest that earns players an Exotic weapon. Following the update, the count will still increase by one but players are now only required to collect 10 in total.

Hopefully, Bungie and Sony get to the bottom of the crashing issue that severely diminishes the game's enjoyment, at least for PS4 players. The game has gotten a huge momentum upon release and would be disappointing if the game's sales take a hit due to an unfixed issue.

"Destiny 2" is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
