‘Dirty Dozen List’ names 12 companies profiting off sexual exploitation
A website widely known for discussing about all manners of topics, Reddit got on the list due to its reported refusal to better monitor and ban sexually exploitative content.
Haley McNamara, one of the vice presidents at NCOSE, labeled Reddit a “hub of sexual exploitation” that lacks “a sufficient number of moderators and readily available technological solutions” for their graphic content.

Discussion threads on Reddit, commonly known as sub-Reddits, involve users sharing sexually explicit images of romantic partners, oftentimes without the consent of the other person.
“It is egregiously long overdue for Reddit to prioritize user safety and preventive criminal conduct instead of prioritizing profits alone,” McNamara said during the Zoom announcement of the list.
“Reddit fosters this environment through a lack of moderation and the reality that there is no meaningful way to verify the age or consent of any of the people depicted in explicit content when uploaded to Reddit.”
