Donald Trump Snags Key Endorsement from Sarah Palin
U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has received a key endorsement from Alaska's former governor Sarah Palin ahead of the Iowa caucuses.
During a rally at the Iowa State University, Sarah Palin announced her support for Donald Trump for the U.S. presidential elections. The endorsement from the former Alaska governor comes amid the billionaire's tight competition with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in Iowa, according to Al-Arabiya.
"Media heads are spinning," Palin said during the Iowa rally. "This is going to be so much fun … No more pussy-footing around."

Palin described Trump as the presidential candidate who will help the U.S. troops defeat the ISIS and help return America to its past glory, BBC News reports.
During the endorsement, Trump's campaign delivered a statement describing Palin as a conservative who helped boost the careers of some future Republican leaders. The real estate mogul's camp also quoted Cruz's past statement attributing his Senate seat to Palin's support. It can be remembered that his victory in the 2012 Senate run-off election turned out as a surprise, the report explains.
The statement from Trump's campain also highlighted Palin's "fiscally modest" history and pro-life stance. In addition, it praised her for being a catalyst in the growth of business and freedom, the report relays.
Meanwhile, Cruz said he will still be a big fan of Palin no matter what she plans to do this year.
Palin previously ran for vice president in 2008 in tandem with presidential candidate John McCain, who lost to Barack Obama at the time. Although she has since retired from politics and has focused on her career as a political commentator and writer, Palin is still considered as a conservative with a high level of influence.
Donald Trump said he was proud that Sarah Palin chose him as the recipient of her support. Her endorsement could help boost the real estate mogul's crowd support just as it had helped Cruz win in the Senatorial elections in 2012.
