Drunk Dial Congress: Website Offers Service to 'Call and Yell at Congress' In Response to Government Shutdown
The public has responded to the ongoing government shutdown by launching a "drunk dial" Congress website.
The purpose of the website is for the public to unleash a piece of their mind to the lawmakers that have prompted the shutdown.
The site, called DrunkDialCongress.org, was launched Thursday morning allowing members people to contact a member of Congress to vent about the shutdown.

Once entering the site, you can enter your phone number. Soon after, you will receive a call back with an automated message by a man slurring his speech. Then the system will automatically forward your call to a random member of Congress.
The site reads:
"Have a drink and tell them."
"Whether you are a furloughed worker, being forced to work for free, or just fed up at Capitol Hill."
"CALL & YELL AT A RANDOM MEMBER OF CONGRESS"
"Note: As Members of Congress quickly returned from their final symbolic, non-effective and otherwise useless votes to avert a government shutdown, the heavy drinking began. Reports of our representatives getting plastered on the government's dime - the one we have left - have come streaming in from witnesses all over Capitol Hill. Now's your chance to tell your Representative what you really think of their actions."
The site also suggests talking points when you get through to a member of Congress:
"My grandma can't get her cancer treatment."
"My kids won't stop yelling at me about camping."
"I can't watch the panda."
"Why don't you make yourself useful and at least mow the lawn?"
"How dare you not fund Veterans"
