A new photo scandal involving Duchess Kate Middleton has caused a row between the Royal family and a German newspaper named Bild. The publication printed a photograph of Middleton's skirt being blown up, exposing her backside. It's not the first time that embarrassing photos of Middleton have been published, and it remains to be seen whether the Duke and Duchess will take action or issue a statement about the photograph.

"Bild's decision is likely to have infuriated the Cambridges, but Clarence House refused to comment today," the Daily Mail reported. "The pictures were offered to the British press – who refused them – so the photographer sold them to the 'highest bidder' around the world, according to the 'Daily Star.'"

In the photo, Prince William has his hand around Kate's back as they walk away from the camera. However, a gust of wind blew her skirt up to reveal her bare bottom. The newspaper put the photograph on its cover, alongside photos of the Kardashian sisters and under a provocative headline. The photo was snapped while the couple was in Australia on an official royal visit.

While it's possible that William and Kate will do nothing about the photograph, they have taken action against publications in the past. During their honeymoon, photographs of a topless Kate were published by a French magazine, and the royal couple sued. They won an injunction, stopping the publication and sale of the photographs. It marked a victory for the royal family, who's family had to deal with the invasion of privacy from paparazzi.

William is especially protective of his wife and new son, given his history with the paparazzi. His mother, Diana, was killed while being pursued by paparazzi, and even before then, William had a distaste for the photographers who constantly followed him and his family everywhere.
