Dwight Howard Trade: God Will Decide Where NBA Center Plays Next

Although a plethora of NBA teams are reportedly vying to acquire Dwight Howard, the Orlando Magic center who will become a free agent at the end of this season, the ball player recently said he would play in Chicago if God told him to.

The NBA all-star who has dressed up as Superman in the past has been vocal about the teams he would possibly like to join after his contract with the Magic ends for the 2011-2012 season. The Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, New Jersey Nets and Dallas Mavericks were among those teams.

However, a recent interview with the Chicago Tribune has caused some to add Chicago to the list for Howard's next move. The NBA center said that he would not rule out the Windy City, if God tells him to join Derrick Rose in Chicago.

"If I could play with Derrick right now and God wanted that to happen, it will happen," Howard said. "It has nothing to do with me not wanting to play with Derrick Rose. I love him. That's my brother."

Since the beginning of his NBA career in 2004, Howard has been vocal about putting God first. At only 17 years old, Howard emphasized the importance of letting God control the financial gain he receives from the league.

"I think I can make as much money or even more than LeBron. But it will be up to God for that to happen," Howard said in an ESPN report. "If He wants me to market myself, then I'll do it. I'm not trying to give glory for myself. I'm trying to give glory for Him."

Howard also encouraged Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow to lean on his faith last November, after NFL players voted the quarterback as the most overrated player in the league.

"Tim Tebow keep up the good work," Howard tweeted. "Despite all the haters you work hard, you got heart and u got Jesus. You can't lose."

These days, Howard is leaning on his faith and told the Orlando Sentinel that he is looking at every opportunity.

"The biggest thing for me is taking advantage of every opportunity that I have in front of me, and that's how anybody should look at it," Howard said. "I'm (26) and I have a full life ahead of me, God willing, and I have to do what's best for me, and that's it."
