Earthquake Today: 4.7 Quake Rocks Northern California
A moderate earthquake has shaken northern California Wednesday evening.
A tremor measuring 4.7 in magnitude has shaken Reno at 11:37 p.m. PST last night. It had a depth of 8.1 miles.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter was 11 miles from Valley Ranch, 11 miles from Clio, 35 miles from Reno, NV, and 90 miles from Sacramento.

There have been no immediate reports of injuries or damages. There have been reports that 57 people from the Oroville area contacted USGS online to say they had felt the tremor.
“It was fairly small, but I'm betting that people nearby probably felt it," said Leslie Gordon, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Geological Survey, according to sfgate.com. "If they were sitting quietly in that area in the East Bay, they definitely felt it.”
This is the second quake to hit the region measuring a magnitude of 3.0 or more in six days. On Oct. 20, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake rocked the region, centered about 2 miles east-southeast of Berkeley, California.
