'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Is Alex Still Alive? Michelle Ang on the 'Flight 462' Survivor

After Strand (Colman Domingo) cut her loose from the yacht and left her to fend for herself and her charge, fans are waiting with bated breath to find out what happened to Alex (Michelle Ang), one of the two survivors from Flight 462. Could she and Jake (Brendan Meyer), the burnt boy, still be alive?

Ang recently spoke to Digital Spy about Alex and said that while there are many things about the young woman that has been left unanswered, one thing is almost certain.

"I don't think she's going to forget what Strand did - we've seen her act fiercely towards people who aren't in alignment with her, or who aren't willing to protect what she wants to protect," the actress said.

"But she is also a survivor and Strand has a lot of resources, so it'll be interesting to see whether diplomacy is in order to get to those resources," she added.

Alex and Jake both appeared in "Ouroboros," the third episode in the current season of AMC's "Fear the Walking Dead." Prior to that, the two were in the web spinoff "Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462."

Apart from the fact that the character suffers from PTSD and is fresh off a traumatic event, Ang said that she doesn't know a whole lot about Alex.

"She clearly knows a lot about this whole outbreak, maybe moreso than anyone that we've seen to date," she explained. "Because on Flight 462, she knew to go for the head to get rid of the zombie…"

Meanwhile, the previous episode of "Fear the Walking Dead," titled "Blood in the Streets," showed Strand's backstory. In flashbacks that took up nearly half of the episode's runtime, viewers learned that the source of Strand's wealth, yacht, and destination is Thomas Abigail (Dougray Scott), a wealthy real estate tycoon who Strand met after he lost his own wealth in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Via flashbacks, it was revealed that Strand tried to steal from Thomas to get back on his feet. But instead of turning him in to the police, Thomas was impressed by Strand's scheme and made him his business partner. As the two began to work together, they also developed a romantic relationship. The two were separated when Strand travelled to Los Angeles in the midst of the zombie outbreak.

Whether or not Thomas survived is a question for future episodes to answer.

"Fear the Walking Dead" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
