'Elementary' Season 4 Episode 14 Spoilers: Holmes, Watson Deal with an Unlikely Crime Suspect
More family drama is about to transpire when CBS' hit crime drama TV series "Elementary" season 4 returns this week with a brand-new episode.
Followers of the series may have some mixed reaction when the first half of the current season introduces Sherlock's (Jonny Lee Miller) old man, Morland Holmes (John Noble). It is revealed right away that the two can't stand each other. However, the upcoming episode "Who Is That Masked Man?" will further divulge the severity of their relationship, not only as a father and son, but as a family as a whole.
The synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic reads:
"When Holmes' investigation into the attempt on Morland's life pushes their strained relationship to the breaking point, the identity of Sherlock's mother is revealed."
It is quite clear that episode 14 will now introduce the Holmes matriarch. However, it is yet to be found out if the person herself will make an appearance or not.
Executive producer Rob Doherty spoke with Zap2it.com last year, telling the media outlet that it is imperative for the show to "flesh out Mama Holmes' story and explain why she is not featured on the show alongside Mr. Holmes."
"It's a story we need to tell," the series executive said adding that they only "need to find the right moment."
Doherty went on to tease that the woman plays "a big reason" on why the two males in the family are struggling to get along with each other.
In another development, Holmes and his trusty companion Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) will get called to look into a murder incident involving the death of three gang members. What makes the sleuthing duo to raise their eyebrows is when they got confronted with a shocking development pointing out to an unlikely suspect: an elderly woman. Will Sherlock and Joan be able to pin down the real culprit?
Find out how these events unfold when "Elementary" season 4 episode 14 premieres this Thursday, Feb. 25 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
