Elzbieta Plackowska Stabs 2 Children 150 Times: Babysitter 'Drove the Devil Out'

Elzbieta M. Plackowska has been charged with two counts of murder after stabbing her son and the young girl she was babysitting. Plackowska is currently on suicide watch after being charged. Her actions come less than one week after a New York nanny took the lives of two young children before attempting to take her own.

According to police, Plackowska was home alone with her son Justin, 7, and Olivia Dworakowski, 5, when the murders took place. She reportedly told Justin he was going to heaven and ordered him to get on his knees and pray before stabbing him more than 100 times.

"She told Justin and Olivia to get on their knees and pray. She told Justin he was going to heaven tonight," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin told the court. "She stated the children had evil inside of them and she was trying to drive the devil out of them."

Reports state that Plackowska fled the home and went to church, and finally to a relative's home. Police apprehended her there, and she told them then that she killed her son because she wanted to make her husband "hurt the way she hurt in the relationship."

"She stated she was angry with her husband because he was gone most days as an over-the-road trucker," Berlin added.

When police arrived at the scene of the crime, they found a home covered in blood, and two knives: one that had its blade bent backward, and another in the Plackowska's vehicle.

"In all my years in law enforcement, this was the most horrific and gruesome crime scene I have seen," Naperville Police Chief Robert Marshall told reporters.

The news comes as quite a shock to the Naperville community, especially given the case of a nanny in New York who killed two of the three children she was taking care of before attempting to take her own life.
