Emma Stone: Ripped Dress Better Than Worst Dressed (PHOTOS)

Actress Emma Stone recently boasted that the dress she wore to Monday night's Met Gala was "rain proof." Unfortunately, the dress was not rip proof and Spiderman was apparently not around to save the day.

While the actress still managed to make the best dressed list Monday night wearing a bright red Lanvin dress covered in plastic flowers, it appears Emma Stone was actually trying to cover up a rip in her dress all night long.

A picture revealed after the event occurred shows the actress sitting in the back of a black car, with a hole near the zipper of her dress. In the photo the actress is allowing her designer to have a good look in order to decide what can be done about the mishap.

While the actress is set to play Spiderman's love interest in the new film set to debut this summer, the superhero was nowhere to be found during the actress' time in need. Instead, Stone was forced to wear a maroon sweater as a cover up.

Laughingly, the actress had commented earlier to People magazine how proud she was of her dress in the middle of the muggy New York weather.

"It was rainproof," she told People, but apparently not rip proof. On the bright side, at least Stone had only to cover up a hole and not an entire gown.

The Met Gala is known as the "Oscars of the East Coast" and highly regarded as the ultimate fashion event of the year. However, some celebrities just didn't make the cut, and landed themselves on the worst dressed list.

Among the worst dressed? Perhaps surprisingly, Beyonce landed herself the title, with a strange spider web looking number that many said was too revealing. Rachel Zoe was also criticized for her mermaid like golden gown with matching golden head piece.
