'Empire' Season 2 Fall Finale Spoilers: Lucious Lyon At Risk Of Losing His Record Company
There's only one episode left before Fox's hit drama TV series "Empire" takes a lengthy hiatus on its current sophomore season. However, spoiler reports for this week's fall finale gave hints on some of the most jaw-dropping developments.
Design & Trend wrote that the episode called "Et Tu, Brute?" will show the dire situation that Lucious Lyon will find himself in. According to the report, the Empire Entertainment founder may lose his ownership of the company he built from the ground up. The person behind his downfall is Mimi, who can be seen in the promo video for the episode addressing the company's board, saying that Lucious be removed.
But Mimi's proposal should come as quite reasonable. Fans may remember how eager Lucious is to gain control of the streaming service. Without regard for the company's welfare, Lucious goes all-in with his business plans. This puts Mimi in a position of looking out for their investments, and getting the reckless CEO and Chairman out of the equation is a logical thing to do.

However, the teaser clip reveals that the man won't go down without a fight. In one of the scenes, he can be seen smashing things while Cookie looks on. Despite the fact that they are literally business competitors, Cookie showed just how concerned she is about her husband.
"Lucious, you've got three sons downstairs, and they need you to be strong. Right now," she said. And just as she is about to leave the room, a teary-eyed Lucious grabbed her hand. Needless to say, Lucious needs Cookie and he recognizes the fact that it's only her who can hold the whole family together.
"Lyon Dynasty is our company, but Empire is our family, and anybody who tries to steal that from us is our enemy," she said to Hakeem.
Apparently, this will give the fans a fresh look on what the family can do together in these trying times. Aside from that, the plot could build more tension and create a whole new level of suspense that will make fans look forward to when the show returns to the airwaves.
