Erin Andrews Hopes to Be Like Brooke Burke-Charvet on 'DWTS'
Erin Andrews acknowledged the task of replacing recently fired co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet on the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars" this week.
Last week, Burke-Charvet's firing from ABC's dancing reality series made headlines, and just days later, Andrews was confirmed as her replacement. Now, Andrews is hoping to draw inspiration from Burke-Charvet, especially since many loyal "DWTS" fans were shocked and outraged over the model's firing.
I don't blame the audience at all, "said the 35-year-old sportscaster of Burke-Charvet's fans, according to People. "I know that I have huge shoes to fill. I'm a fan of Brooke. She was very wonderful toward me in my season."

Andrews competed on "DWTS" during season 10 when she came in third place.
"I can only hope I can emulate somebody like that and use her for guidance," the television personality added. Andrews made her debut as co-host to Tom Bergeron during the "DWTS" season cast reveal on "Good Morning America" earlier this week.
Burke-Charvet was also a former "DWTS" competitor who won season seven alongside Derek Hough. She had been in the co-host position on the show for seven seasons before announcing her firing via Twitter last week.
"Weird day… Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS… ME," the 42-year-old model and television personality posted to Twitter on Feb. 21. "@Tom_Bergeron didn't even read my name. I won't be returning to the show this season."
Although she will not be returning to ABC's hit show in its 18th season later this month, Burke-Charvet remained positive and pulled off a graceful exit.
"Thank for all the love & support," she added on Twitter on Feb. 22. "I loved my time in the ballroom & I'll love my next chapter too. Change is positive. Love you guys!"
Nevertheless, Burke-Charvet admitted on "Good Morning America" that she had been shocked over the firing just weeks ahead of the season 18 premiere on March 17.
"The only shocking thing about it, really, is the way that it went down," she explained. "Finding out just several weeks before the premiere was a little bit tough, but I'm good. I'm happy."
Burke-Charvet's dismissal was the latest in changes to the upcoming season of "DWTS." Earlier this month, ABC also let go of the show's longtime band leader, Harold Wheeler, and decided to replace the live backing band with pre-recorded music in order to attract younger audiences.
