Falling Up to Release Sophomore Project on Oct. 25
BEC/Tooth and Nail alt-rockers Falling Up will be releasing their second studio project on Oct. 25.
The album, Dawn Escapes, is the follow up to the bands 2004 smash-hit debut Crashings, which spawned three back-to-back #1 rock singles including Broken Heart R&Rs rock song of the year and the song of the year for the Air1 network.
For Falling Up front man Jessy Ribordy, Dawn Escapes is a more true expression of the bands passion for their music and ministry.
This record is more true musically and lyrically to Falling Up than past efforts, says Ribordy. Our creative partnership with Michael Elvis Baskette (Chevelle, Cold) really defined where we wanted to be musically and where we wanted to go with this record. We are really excited about sharing it with the fans live.
The first single from the new album, In My Dreams-Exit Calypsan, is at #6 this week on the R&R rock chart. The albums next single, Moonlit, will hit rock/CHR airwaves in mid October.
Falling Up is currently promoting Dawn Escapes on their sixth U.S. tour, co-headlining with John Reuben, which will last until Oct. 30.
Mike Snider of Third Coast Agency, states, Falling Up has to be the hardest working band on the Third Coast roster. I don't recall a time in the last two years when they took a break from touring or recording. All that hard work has paid off in building an extremely loyal fan base on the road. They are the next break out band and with this new record will surely go to the next level.
