Fellow Philanderer Herman Cain Lauds Gingrich's Response to Cheating in Debate

Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain told Fox News on Friday he "loved" Newt Gingrich's aggressive response to a question about Gingrich's second wife during Thursday night's presidential debate.

"That's the same crap that they pulled on me," Cain said, referring to alleged infidelities that were uprooted during his campaign, forcing him to drop out of the race.

Several women came out last year accusing the businessman turned politician of sexual misconduct and adultery. One accuser, Ginger White, claimed she carried on a 13-year extramarital affair with Cain, who has been married for 43 years to his wife, Gloria Cain.

Cain announced he was ending his bid for president in November, but seems to find redemption in Gingrich, whose second wife has recently accused him of petitioning her for an "open marriage" after he admitted to having an affair with his current wife.

"That's what's wrong with politics. This is what's turning the American people off," Cain told Fox News of the media scrutinizing Gingrich's past.

"What does something that happened 20 years ago, relative to an ex-wife, have to do with fixing Americans' problems today? Nothing!" Cain added.

On Thursday night, Gingrich blasted CNN debate moderator John King for opening the debate by asking him about the allegations made by his ex-wife, Marianne Gingrich, in an ABC interview.

"I think the destructive, vicious negative nature of much of the news media makes it harder to govern this country," Gingrich told King angrily. "I am appalled that you would begin a presidential debate on a topic like that."

Gingrich also told King that the accusations made by his ex-wife were "false."

Cain made his "unconventional" endorsement for "the people" public on Thursday at a South Carolina Republican conference. Many thought he would select a running Republican candidate, but Cain told Fox News he "didn't necessarily want to get in that at this particular point."

"I wanted my supporters to still stay focused on the ultimate mission, which is to defeat Barack Obama," Cain told Fox of his "the people" endorsement.

Cain will deliver the Tea Party Express' response to President Obama's State of the Union address on Tuesday night, Fox News reported.

Cain is also supposed to hold a rally with comedian Stephen Colbert on Friday, according to Fox.
