5 highlights from Tucker Carlson's conversation with Chris Cuomo
Fired cable news hosts spoke for 2 hours
Gov. Andrew Cuomo
CNN fired Cuomo in 2021 after news broke that he was offering counsel to his brother, then-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, regarding the sexual harassment allegations against him.
Noting that one has a "moral obligation" to one's family that supersedes all others, Carlson expressed disdain at the idea Cuomo would be ousted for helping his brother.
"If my brother committed triple murder, I'd be against triple murder, but I would never abandon my brother, because he's my brother," Carlson said. "And so, anybody who says your obligation to me overrides your obligation to your own brother, that person is evil. That's how I feel about it."
Cuomo noted that he came to realize many have different views on the extent of one's obligation to family.
"I had a big-shot media person say to me in an interview on their platform, I would not have helped my brother, not if it would have conflicted with my ethical obligations as a journalist," he said.
"Or your career ambitions is what they're really saying," Carlson interjected. "Disgusting."
