Galaxy Note 2 App Allows Users to Become Cartoon Creators

A new stylus app for the Galaxy Note 2 that allows users to become cartoon creators has been released in the Google Play store.

The app is called Animating Touch and functions as an animation editor that allows users to create their own movies. It is great for Galaxy Note 2 owners who like to created short animated videos and brings life to the device's most prized accessory, the S Pen.

Users don't need to draw every frame in order to get smooth motions on the app. Instead they can create keyframes only and intermediate frames are built automatically. Users will also be able to put the faces of their friends on characters, add voices, and upload the movie on YouTube or Facebook.

Other features include Skeletal animation, motion tweening, and sound recording.

A similar app on the original Note allowed users to turn themselves and their friends into Comic book characters. This also utilized the S Pen.

The S Pen stylus was made famous on the original Galaxy Note when it launched in 2011. It helped to make the device very successful for Samsung, leading to the company launching its successor in 2012 with the Galaxy Note 2. The accessory will also be available on the Galaxy Note 3 when it is released later this year.

The Note's unique design and features have differentiated it from many of the smartphones manufactured by other companies. It also allowed Samsung to create a new category as the device functions as both a smartphone and tablet. Many tech enthusiasts prefer to call it a phablet.

Other companies such as Sony and Lenovo have taken a cue from Samsung and have created their own phablet devices hoping to attain the same amount of success.
