Galaxy Note 2 Release Date Confirmed for Coming Months by AT&T

The Galaxy Note 2 release date will come in the next few months, according to AT&T.

The carrier issued a press released earlier today confirming that it will offer the smartphone-tablet hybrid and that it will be available in the very near future.

"Arriving later this year running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), Galaxy Note 2 with 4G LTE combines the productivity of a tablet with the convenience of a smartphone and the S Pen features you need to unleash your creativity," wrote AT&T.

The carrier went on to explain the device as a powerful handset gadget that possesses PC-like processing power and advanced features such as Popup Video, new Gallery views and "great gaming performance" in a truly pocketable device.

However, AT&T did not provide customers with an exact release date.

The rumored launch date at this point in time is Oct. 21.

AT&T also announced several other devices in the press release including the Samsung Galaxy Express, Galaxy Rugby Pro and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. All four of these devices will run on the carrier's 4G LTE network.

The Galaxy Express runs Android 4.0 and comes with a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display. It also features a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2000mAh battery.

The Galaxy Rugby Pro is "built to military specifications" meaning that it is waterproof, shock resistant, and dust proof. It comes with a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display and a 5-megapixel rear camera.

The final device in the press release is the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. This tablet comes with a 10.1-inch display 7,000mAH battery, and premium entertainment options including Media Hub, Smart Remote and AllShare Play.

These three new devices will also be available for AT&T customers in the next few months.
