Galaxy S2 Release Date: Samsung Event to Launch Google Nexus Prime, Ice Cream Sandwich OS?
Electronics giant Samsung has recently announced that it will be hosting an event called "Samsung Mobile Unpacked" on October 11.
Press invites with the subtitle "Google Episode" are currently being sent out.
It is expected that Google's latest smartphone, the Nexus Prime and Android's latest OS, Ice Cream Sandwich will be unveiled at the event.

The event, which begins at 11 a.m. at an undisclosed location, promises “a look at what’s new from Android,” the invitation says. The Google Nexus Prime smartphone and Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS are the current reported developments.
Samsung has received a lot of attention of late because of the U.S. release of the Galaxy S2, Epic 4G Touch on the Sprint network and the impending October release of the Galaxy S2 on the AT&T and T-Mobile networks.
A reported leak by an anonymous member of the imageboard website 4Chan allegedly revealed the specs of the Google Nexus Prime, which is also being called the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
The possibility of a Samsung Galaxy S3 has also been reported through this leak.
Sources told BGR that the Nexus Prime's main specs include an OMAP4460 processor, a large 720p display 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera with advanced low-light performance and a 4G LTE radio.
Speculation indicates that the Ice Cream Sandwich OS will have either 4.0 or 2.4.1 as its model number.
It is rumored that the Ice Cream Sandwich OS will release in late October and the Nexus Prime will release on the Verizon Wireless network on November 3 and on the Sprint and AT&T 4G networks on November 24.
