Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 and Maybe Other Devices Will Feature Fingerprint Sensors in 2014
Samsung will launch two new devices next year that will feature fingerprint sensors.
Both of them could potentially be the flagship Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Note 4. Swedish company Fingerprint Cards confirmed to Reuters recently that multiple mobile phone companies will be releasing devices using its fingerprint technology with Samsung on board for at least two.
"I think at least seven or eight [companies] will launch a phone with a touch sensor in 2014," said Johan Carlstrom, Fingerprints Chief Executive Officer to Reuters in an interview this week.

All of these companies are following in the footsteps of Apple, who launched the iPhone 5S earlier this year with a fingerprint sensor built into its circular home button.
Fingerprint hopes to create even more deals with the majority of these companies. The company currently works with Fujitsu, Pantech and Konka.
Carlstrom did not provide any other details regarding which Samsung devices would come with the fingerprint scanners, but it is safe to assume that the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy S5 will be the company's top priority when it comes to new technology.
However, Samsung's plans are unclear, as the company said it would not follow Apple and bring fingerprint features to mobile devices.
Various plans for the Samsung Galaxy S5 have surfaced recently including a rumored early 2014 release date and a design that features a metal exterior. Samsung has not confirmed any of this information yet.
The Galaxy Note 4 is way too far away to know any other spec information at this time. It will most likely resemble the Galaxy S5 and come with a beefed up processor along with a flex screen.
