Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Price Set for $199 at Online Retailer

The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is now available on Adorama for $199.

The website listed the device earlier this week. This online post gives consumers the first real idea of what this new line of tablets will cost. The larger 8.0 and 10.0 versions are expected to retail for $300-$400. However, those prices will not be officially confirmed until those models launch later this year.

"With the new Galaxy Tab 3, Samsung has evolved its range of innovative tablets, making them smaller and easier to carry, while increasing the user experience overall," wrote the company in a press release.

Specifications on the new tablet include a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 7-inch display with 1024x600 resolution, Android 4.1, JellyBean, a 3-megapixel rear camera, a 1.3-megapixel front camera, 3G+Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 4,000 mAh battery.

Samsung also promises easy handgrip and portability for those purchasing the tablet.

"Its compact, one hand grip from factor ensures users can hold comfortably for hours as well as store in a pocket or small bag for reading and entertainment on the go," wrote Samsung.

The device will also have better multimedia performance thanks to its 1.2GHz dual-core processor. This means faster downloading speeds and easy access to videos, apps, games, and the web.

The user experience will also be improved overall.

"The Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch is equipped to better capture life's moments in stunning clarity and resolution with its 3-megapixel rear camera, and 1.3 megapixel front camera," wrote the company. "Combined with the latest Android 4.1, JellyBean, it allows users to share photos, videos, and life's special moments through a few quick taps and swipes."

The 3G version is expected to launch next month June with the availability of the tablet varying in different markets. The larger versions of the Galaxy Tab 3 should also debut soon.
