'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: Davos To See That Melisandre Pays For Shireen's Death?
It seems like the beef between Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham) and Melisandre (Carice van Houten) won't come to an end anytime soon. In fact, it is speculated that in the upcoming sixth season of HBO's hit TV series "Game of Thrones," their conflict will blow out of proportion.
According to the report from GoT fansite WatchersOnTheWall.com, van Houten is currently on set in Northern Ireland doing a scene from what appears to be the grounds of Magheramorne Quarry. The location happens to be the substitute for the show's Castle Black.
Getting more information from the Hispanic website, Los Siete Reinos, the report went on to reveal that the scene being done has something to do with the argument or confrontation between the 39-year-old's character and Davos. Sources for the media outlet added that the scene will be part of the earlier episodes of the upcoming season.
Needless to say, it has yet to be confirmed as to what the two people from the court of King Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) are talking about. Some also say that it's not clear if the latter is alive or dead.
As for the conflict itself, fans have already known how the two dislike each other. They've been arguing ever since the show's second season. For the part of the Onion King, he's never been comfortable with the Red Priestess' magic. On top of that, he seems to abhor Melisandre's way of pleasing R'hllor, the Lord of Light, which includes sacrificing people's lives.
Davos is still not aware of what she did with Shireen (Kerry Ingram). Fans were left utterly horrified when the character was burned alive. Perhaps, it can be deduced that Davos will get wind of her deed and will confront her about it.
It's also likely that they are fighting on a different thing like Melisandre abandoning Stannis.
"Game of Thrones" Season 6 is slated to premiere April next year on HBO.
