Google Nexus Prime Release Date: Japanese Ad Confirms Specs and Name
A Japanese magazine recently posted an ad for the Google Nexus Prime which confirmed some of the rumored specs for the device.
The ad revealed that the handset will have a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a 1.2GHz OMAP4460 processor and run on Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich.
The ad also confirmed that its official name will be the Galaxy Nexus.

Along with these features, the recent rumors also point to the Galaxy Nexus having a 720p display, an 8 megapixel rear camera with 1080p video recording, an NFC (Near Field Communications) chip and possibly LTE radios.
The Galaxy Nexus smartphone is expected to debut at Samsung’s “Mobile Unpacked” event tomorrow in Hong Kong.
Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS is also rumored to be unveiled at the event.
The Galaxy Nexus will officially be the first device to run on the new Ice Cream Sandwich.
A video leaked recently of a Samsung Galaxy S2 running Ice Cream Sandwich, but this was later found to be fake.
“Mobile Unpacked” will take place tomorrow morning.
For Samsung fans living in the U.S., the event's streaming will begin at 9:30 p.m. tonight and can be seen at youtube.com/android.
The Galaxy Nexus will also go head to head with Apple’s extremely successful iPhone 4S.
The new iPhone has already sold 4 million units more than doubling the sales of the previous Apple smartphone, the iPhone 4.
Samsung’s Galaxy S2 seemed to fare well against the iPhone 4, but is no match for the iPhone 4S which includes impressive new features like Siri.
The new Nexus phone is expected to be powerful enough to give the new iPhone a run for its money.
