Google's LG Nexus 5 (2015) Rumors: September Launch, Design and Specs
Google is reportedly ready to release its new LG Nexus 5 (2015) this month and a number of leaks have surfaced over the exact details of the upcoming smartphone.
With Apple and Samsung poised to unveil their upcoming flagship devices within the next two months, Google is hard on their heels with its LG Nexus 5 (2015) which it will reportedly launch by September 29 during a special event in San Francisco.
Mobile phone watchers are expecting the search engine tech giant to introduce two new phones by Huawei and LG in an event it traditionally holds for its Nexus handsets each year. The LG Nexus 5 (2015) is said to be a smaller smartphone, which, like the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 before it, will be offering value for money.

Based on leaked photos posted on a Google+ page owned by user Inno Yudha, the handset, with its 5.2-inch display, will be housed within a polycarbonate shell with an aluminum frame. Another leakster, @OnLeaks posted an image of the handset's rear end, and featuring a fingerprint sensor and a large 13MP camera lens with laser focus, a Sony-made IMX278 sensor, and a dual flash.
Dutch tech website, TechTastic.nl has also revealed a selfie allegedly taken by a Google employee using the LG Nexus 5 (2015). The photo's EXIF data reveals a 2592 x 1944 resolution which suggests the handset's front camera may have a 5MP sensor and an f/2.0 aperture.
More specs information has also been released online, pegging the LG Nexus 5 (2015) to have a Snapdragon 808 chipset and an Adreno 418 GPU supported by 3GB of RAM. It will also be carrying a USB Type-C port onboard, as well as Google's upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
With Google expected to launch its Android Pay app in the US within the week, it is likely the handset will already have the app installed when it debuts near the end of the month with a rumored price point between $300 and $400.
