GoPro Hero 5 Release Date, Specs Latest: Powerful Video Camera to Be Launched in 2016
GoPro, Inc. has announced it is pushing back the original fall launch date for its upcoming GoPro Hero 5 to 2016.
GoPro Hero 5, which is expected to take its place as the world's most powerful action camera when it hits the scene, has been rescheduled for an early 2016 launch instead of the original October 2015 release.
The San Mateo, California tech manufacturer's decision to delay the Hero 5 release has to do with incorporating additional upgrades to its latest videographic camera.

After establishing the hype for Hero 5 as the best action camera in the market, GoPro, Inc. is bent on fulfilling that goal by further fine-tuning the Hero 5 to meet consumer expectations, and continue the track record it has set with its groundbreaking camcorders since its first GoPro Hero 35mm all-season sports camera in 2005.
While the camera is forecasted the Hero 5 to have a late 2015 launch date, the company's launching pace has appeared to have changed following the quick succession of the GoPro Hero LCD in June this year, followed by the GoPro Hero 4 Session a month later.
Described as half the weight and size of the Hero 4, the compact Hero 5 will have an 8K Full Ultra HD video capture capacity, with twice the resolution of its predecessor. It will also have a battery capacity double the power of the Hero 4.
The Hero 5 will be able to record videos at 4K resolution and 1080-pixel resolution at 60 fps, 1,440-pixel videos at 30 fps, and 720-pixel videos at 100 fps.
Waterproof and functional up to a 60-meter depth, it will reportedly record underwater videos better than any other videographic camera in the market today. It is also rumored to have a lower price point, estimated at between $400 to $500, despite the additional upgrades and fine-tuning that's geared to surpass all the specifications and features of its pricier predecessor.
