Gospel Dream to Crown Winner of 4th Season
The American Idol-style talent search series Gospel Dream will be crowning the winner of its fourth season Wednesday, after six weeks of competition.
As part of the finale, the final three contestants – Tony LeBron, 32, of Boca Raton, Fla.; Robert Mauti, 26, of Nashville; and NeVar Massey, 34, of Hampton, Ga. – will perform mainstream hits including "Higher Ground," "The Way It Is," and "I'll Take You There" in front of a national television audience.
In the end, only one will receive the Gospel Dream title along with the record and music video exposure and other prizes that come with it.
"This week, I am really wondering who will take the title," wrote 2008 Gospel Dream Winner Melinda Watts, who will be returning to the Gospel Dream stage in the finale to perform a song from her debut album, People Get Ready, which hit stores Tuesday.
"One thing's for sure ... it's a GUY thing this year," she added.
"I cant wait to see how these guys pull it together for the final round!"
This year's winner will be picked by a panel of judges that include Michelle Williams from the Grammy-winning group Destiny's Child; J. Moss, one of Gospel music's most prolific talents; and Mitchell Solarek, one of the music industry's most respected executives.
The winner of season four of Gospel Dream will be crowned Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. ET/9:00 CT on Gospel Music Channel.
